Our Mission
Our goal is to educate, raise awareness, and provide training on traumatic brain injuries (TBIs).
We aim to empower community leaders to advocate for improved resources, support, and policies; equip legal professionals to make informed decisions regarding sentencing and legal responsibilities; assist individuals in the criminal justice system who have experienced a TBI; support educational institutions; and inform policymakers and legislators about alternative approaches.
Northern Aurora, Colorado has long faced challenges that have impacted the quality of life and mental health of its residents. Recognizing the critical need for change, Parker Stokes Mental Health Foundation, in collaboration with AYBOS Marketing and Denver University, initiated the Northern Aurora Quality of Life Movement. This movement is dedicated to providing inclusive, diverse, effective, and tailored mental health care to those previously underserved by existing systems.
Studies led by Denver University revealed alarming statistics: life expectancy in Northern Aurora is reduced by ten years due to inadequate health resources, and over 75% of residents suffer from undiagnosed traumatic brain injuries (TBIs). The area's conditions were likened to those of a third-world country, with minimal services and opportunities for creative or cultural engagement
